Norfolk is gearing up to celebrate National Bike Month in May.
The city of Norfolk says the month is a community celebration of biking as an economical and environmentally friendly form of recreation.
This is the seventh year in a row the city is celebrating Norfolk Bike Month.
A bevy of events are scheduled in May for bikers of all ages to join in on the celebration:
- May 5: First Friday at MacArthur Center Green — Special treat for first 25 cyclists
- May 7: Ride the Loop
- May 12: FlickIt! Series presents “Rad”
- May 19: Bike to Work Day — Multiple “pit stops” will be set up in downtown Norfolk
- May 20: Tarralton Bike Rodeo
