Siamese Crocodiles Arrive at the Virginia Zoo

The Virginia Zoo welcomed two captivating creatures to their newly renovated World of Reptiles.

Two, female Siamese crocodiles were introduced to their brand new habitat at the Zoo on Tuesday.

According to the Virginia Zoo’s website, this species is one of the most critically endangered crocodile in the world.

Both are full-grown, measuring approximately seven feet in length and weighing about 150 pounds each.

The Virginia Zoo says they have partnered with the Madras Crocodile Trust in Cambodia, the Wildlife Conservation Society, of New York and the International Union for the Conservation of Nature Crocodile Specialist Group toward shared conservation goals for the species.
