Norfolk ends Bike Month with Community Ride, Free Workshop

The city’s 5th Norfolk Bike Month is rolling to an end soon. Norfolk residents are invited Saturday, May 30 at 9:30 a.m. to attend a community ride starting and finishing at The Plot, on the corner of Granby St. and Olney Rd. in the Downtown Arts District.

After the community ride, riders can take the free #RIDESMART Traffic Skills Workshop and learn how to “Ride Into the Summer with Ease”. This workshop is sponsored by Grow Interactive and will be held from 2 – 6 p.m. at their office located at 427 Granby St. Space is limited so pre-register here.

The workshop will offer professional guidance and skill building for bike commuting and group riding, plus basic mechanical advice. It’s a workshop for riders interested in enhancing their bicycling ability and learning how to add bicycling into their daily or weekly routine.

The Bike League 100% Clubs are independent bicycling groups and organizations affiliated with the League of American Bicyclists to educate, empower and embrace the local bicycle friendly movement.
