Norfolk Music Festival Aimed at Fighting Violence

The first year of the Generation Next Community Festival took place in Norfolk on Saturday. The event is a way for the entire community to come together to fight violence.

Musicians from different genres preformed at the event. Manny Pierre, with Generation Next, says music is a way to unite people and fight against crime.

The festival took place near the intersection of Raby Road and East Virginia Beach Boulevard. The group will also get together on Sunday to remember those who’ve been impacted by violence.
