Today on Facebook and Twitter the Norfolk Police Department announced they were recruiting for their next class of trainees in their academy.
According to norfolk.gov, applicants will apply to be police recruits with a salary of $18.26 hourly, or $37,974.60 annually. This is pre-entry level law enforcement work. Work involves participating in the basic police training programs and alternative Police functions.
In order to apply, you will need digital copies of your:
- Driver’s License
- Department of Motor Vehicles Report from state licensed (not over 1 year old)
- Completed Authorization for Release of Information form (click here)
- Birth certificate
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- DD 214 (long form), if the applicant ever served in the military
Applications will be accepted until Friday July 31 12:00 AM Eastern Time.
