The highly-anticipated opening of the Publix Super Market at the Monticello Marketplace Shopping Center in Williamsburg is here!

A grand opening for the store was held at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17. It’s located at 4660 Monticello Avenue.

It’s the first Publix store in the region. The super market company opened a location in Kill Devil Hills, N.C. back in February.

The company announced they were opening the Williamsburg location in a former Martin’s store about a year ago. Publix has more than 1,200 stores in the southeastern region of the U.S.

According to Publix’s website, their regular store hours at the Williamsburg location will be Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. These hours do not include their pharmacy.
