It’s a beautiful, fun staple of the Springtime in Hampton Roads: The Gloucester Daffodil Festival!
This year it’s happening this Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3 on Main Street in Gloucester.
Some highlights of the festival include:
The crowning of the Daffodil Queen, a teenage Gloucester resident who will represent the festival all year ’round.
A parade, which kicks off the festival, Saturday at 10 a.m. The theme this year is “30 Years & Blooming.”
There’s always live music, great food, and fun kids’ events including face painting, a magic show, a dog show, games, and strolling characters.
There will also be art and handcrafts for sale.
If you’re worried about parking, you can take a shuttle from Gloucester High School for $2.
