Va. Aquarium’s ‘Protect Sea Life’ License Plate Passes Through General Assembly

The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center’s special license plate has officially passed through the Virginia General Assembly.

The Aquarium says the purchase of the “Protect Sea Life” plate will help fund their research and conservation programs, including their state-wide Stranding Response Program.

If you’re interested in pre-ordering one of these special license plates, you have until April 1.

After you download the order form at this link (internet explorer users click here), these are three ways you can get the “Protect Sea Life” license plate before anyone else:

  1. Email the completed form to and they will respond with the link to process your online payment.
  2. Return the completed form in person to their Guest Services Office, located to the right of their ticket counter. They will accept payment on-site.
  3. Mail the completed form and payment to them at the following address:

The license plates cost $25 or $35 if you want it personalized.
