Volunteers Needed for Keep Norfolk Beautiful Day

Show your love for Hampton Roads by helping to beautify one of its cities!

The Great American Cleanup is reaching Norfolk this year with a series of events, starting with Keep Norfolk Beautiful Day on Saturday, April 18. The event will yield several beautification, litter clean-up and other environmental engagement activities throughout the City.



Here’s a list of the opportunities to volunteer so far:

Pedal Up to Clean Up 
Meetup location: Ernie Morgan Center
Time: 8:30 am – Noon
# of volunteers needed: 12 volunteers
Activity: Volunteers arrive on site, sign in, saddle up and pedal up to 4 miles to their designated cleanup location. The pace is for all levels. Once cleanup is complete, volunteers meet back at the Ernie Morgan Center by noon.

NOTE: Volunteers must have bike and helmet for this opportunity.

Eco Garden Planting
Location: Ernie Morgan Environmental Action Center
Time: 9am – Noon
# of volunteers needed: 12 volunteers

Chesterfield Heights Cleanup 
Meetup location: East end of Chesterfield Heights Blvd. (approximate address is 2812 Chesterfield Blvd.)
Time: 9am – Noon
# of volunteers needed: 25

Cigarette Litter Scan
Meetup location: City Hall Plaza (near the Light Rail Station)
Time: 10 am – 12:30 pm
# of volunteers needed: 10
