Williamsburg Community Bands Together to Build Playground

This weekend Williamsburg kids in the Grove community got a fun, safe place to play, and it took an incredible act of volunteerism from the community to put it together.

More than 200 volunteers from Williamsburg Health Foundation, Little Zion Baptist Church, Mount Gilead Baptist Church, and the Greater Williamsburg community got together with  organizers from KaBOOM!, an organization that builds, improves, and opens playgrounds, to build a new active space for kids.

Williamsburg Health Foundation says that this new playground will provide a place for active play for more than a thousand children in the area.

Check out the awesome photos below, and congratulations to the Grove community in Williamsburg on your fun new place to play!
