10 a.m. | Saturday SUN-days | Bells Mill Park
Observe the heart of our solar system with Back Bay Astronomers during this daytime viewing of our sun. With surface temperatures of about 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit and a diameter of over 100 times that of our earth, the sun dominates our solar system in sheer size, power and mass. Join club members to learn more about our sun and the process for safely viewing the sun and its features.
8 a.m. | Breakfast with the Animals | Virginia Zoo
This event is a rare opportunity to enjoy breakfast at the Zoo and then watch the animals eat their breakfast too! Zoo volunteers will also be at exhibits to dish out interesting animal facts during this once-a-year, exclusive members-only event. Enjoy Train rides and bounce houses for just $1, music from the Olde James River Jazz Band, performances from the Hurrah Players, appearances from Tango the Tiger and other mascot friends.

5 p.m. | 16th Annual Norfolk Latino Festival | Towne Point Park
The sun goes down, the stars come out, and the largest outdoor, waterfront dance floor in Hampton Roads heats up with the hottest salsa, meringue, and guaguanco dancing on the East Coast. Live explosive Latin music by local, regional and national recording artists will fill Town Point Park and keep you moving all night long! This cultural celebration not only features great music, it also serves up mouth-watering Latin cuisine and libations.
8:30 p.m. | Moonlit Journey | Paradise Creek Nature Park
Experience Paradise Creek Nature Park under the lights of the moon. The nature park is magical after hours. Listen for bats and owls, explore the skies and watch for the wetlands night-fishing birds and get a close look at the nighttime insects with our light-trap.
10 a.m. | Mystery Authors Festival | Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts
This one-day festival showcases multiple best-selling mystery, suspense, horror, paranormal, romance, and women’s fiction authors. Highlights include book signings, fan meet & greets and author readings. Additionally, attendees will enjoy a New Author Expo, multiple workshops, a VIP Meet & Greet and moderated panel discussions.
8 a.m. | 20th Annual Gently Used Book Sale | St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church
The books will include fiction, non-fiction, crafts, sports, history, politics, pets, medical/health, children, teen, classics, inspirational, and numerous other topics. All proceeds go to charity.
Book prices will range from $0.50 – $2.00.
8 a.m. | CDR Superhero 5K | The Vineyards of Williamsburg
A Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix Event. This scenic 5K through The Vineyards of Williamsburg boasts several hundred attendees, volunteers, and enthusiastic families and has become one of the most important races around. One mile fun run begins at 8:00 a.m. 5K run/walk begins at 8:30 a.m. Food, music, activities, raffle and more.

12 p.m. | Alewerks 10 Year Jubilee | Williamsburg Alewerks
Alewerks Brewing Company wants you to help us celebrate ten years proudly brewing craft beer in Williamsburg. Live music from Blue Ribbon & the Dharma Initiative and members of the Williamsburg Tasting Trail will be there pouring samples for all adult ticket holders.
