A little bit of Italy is coming to Town Center of Virginia Beach for two days of pasta, pizza, Italian wine, beer, and entertainment, together with family-friendly activities like grape-stomping! Table seating in tents scattered around the Plaza make for the perfect atmosphere for dining, singing, and dancing to classic and modern Italian musical selections. Strolling musicians go from aisle to aisle, giving diners an up-close and personal serenade of Italian tunes we’ve all heard growing up. FREE

Saturday, September 19-Sunday, September 20/2015 NAS Oceana Air Show
The NAS Oceana Air Show has a reputation for drawing the very best performers. The 2015 show will feature the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels. In addition, crowds will enjoy performances by the GEICO Skytypers, A-4 Skyhawk, Shockwave Jet Truck, and many more civilian aviation demonstrations and U.S. Navy air power.

Saturday, September 19-Sunday, September 20/Court Days/Yorktown Visitors Center
When court was in session in the 18th century, the town turned out. Take part in role-play trials as a juror, witness, or even the accused, and enjoy period games, storytelling, entertainment and livestock displays. Vendors selling crafts and wares also will be on hand. Included with admission $9.75 for adults and $5.50 for ages 6-12.



6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m./Campfire Fun and Wetland Hayride/Sandy Bottom Nature Park
njoy an evening of stories and songs around the campfire at our amphitheater and a good old-fashioned hayride. Toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate will top off the evening. Participants will tag a Monarch butterfly and later release it into the Garden after a brief training session. Three hundred or more Monarch butterflies will be tagged, recorded and released. All guests will receive a certificate. Free with regular garden admission.

10:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m./Paws for a Cause Dog Walk and Festival/Mariner’s Museum and Park
Paws for a Cause is the Peninsula SPCA’s annual fundraiser to benefit homeless animals! This is a family-friendly festival with a dog walk. The festival is located in the Mariners’ Museum Park “Warwick Lot” field across from Warwick High School. There will be more than 50 vendors, animal rescues with adoptable pets, and local organizations, as well as food, beer/wine, and activities for the kids! Although festival goers do not need to participate in the dog walk to attend, it’s a fun thing to do! Dog walkers must register in advance and we ask that they fundraise prior to the event. This will ensure that the Peninsula SPCA will be able to continue to help animals in need.
