A new band is about to make their presence known on the local front this week. Demons, a creation from Zach Gehring of Mae that also features Drew Orton of The Dahus, bassist Jon Anderson and guitarist Chris Matthews, will converge for their first live performance Thursday night at The Parlor on Granby. They’ll be joined by Mo Lowda and The Humble and Turncoat Syndicate for a night of great music. Demons, which will release their debut 6 song EP this summer on Spartan Records, is described by Zach as being “sonically influenced by Spiritualized, Nirvana, The Afghan Whigs, Mudhoney, and a lot of punk rock.” They just released their first single titled “Parallel Lines”, click on this link to download the tune for free.

As an hrScene.com exclusive, Zach sent over an acoustic rendition of the song “Godless Girls” that features Andrew Benfante from The Last Bison on piano. A more plugged-in version of the song will be on the upcoming EP. Enjoy and get ready for a great night of rock ‘n’ roll!
