Counting Butterflies with the Virginia Living Museum

Love butterflies? And nature? And the Blue Ridge Mountains?

Join the Virginia Living Museum for the 27th annual North American Butterfly Association Butterfly Count along the Blue Ridge Parkway!

On July 21 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., you could help count, identify, collect and release butterflies while hiking along short, hilly trails.

This day trip is $45 per person (museum members get a $10 discount) and transportation will be provided by the museum.

Children under 18 must be with an adult and children under 12 are not permitted. You can find all the details and register on the museum’s website.
