Foodie Friday Fork-cast from PEH

Hey fabulous hrScene foodie friends! Happy Friday!

Here’s some food news you can use:

I was a judge at two recent fabulous foodie events: the East Coast She Crab Soup Classic and the Norfolk Sister City Passport.

Both were tons of fun, and here’s a little teaser from each – I’ll have a full report on my Tuesday Taste segment on The Hampton Roads Show on April 21.

At the soup classic, Mannino’s Italian Bistro (with locations in Portsmouth and Virginia Beach) was inducted into the She Crab Soup Hall of Fame, a recognition for being a frequent and long-time winner in both competition categories.

I’ll have a full list of winners on Tuesday Taste!

At the Passport event, a delicious South Indian-style Salmon with Fresh Curry Leaves from Nawab Indian Cuisine took Critics’ Choice; tune into Tuesday Taste next week to find out the People’s Choice, Chef’s Choice and Best Country Interpretation winners!

Tonight I’ll be dining at the newly opened Saint Germain restaurant in downtown Norfolk and posting each bite on Instagram!

Follow my posts and ask questions as we go along! You can follow me at –

I’ll also be using the hashtag #patrickevanshylton

Also – where are you dining tonight, or over the weekend? Post your pictures on Instagram with these two hashtags ( #patrickevanshylton –and- #PEHTuesdayTaste ) and I’ll pick my favorites and share them on my Tuesday Taste segment on The Hampton Roads Show next week!
