Heads up Hampton Roads, there’s a new burger boss coming to town.
Lou Haddad, President and CEO of Armada Hoffler Properties, Inc., says New York City-based Shake Shack is the first tenant to commit to a lease in what will soon be the redeveloped Columbus Village shopping center in Town Center of Virginia Beach.
Haddad said the company is in discussion with a number of other potential tenants, as well as the current occupants, and they expect to finalize plans for the center later this year.
Shake Shack’s Senior Manager of Brand Communications Kristyn Clark also confirmed there will be a Shake Shack location at the Virginia Beach shopping center, but didn’t give away too many details.
Currently, the shopping center on Constitution Drive includes stores like Ulta Beauty and Barnes & Noble Booksellers.
