The Hampton Roads region is not only known for it’s rich history, but also it’s incredible seafood. This Saturday, Sept. 8, you can get a little of both at the first annual Crabtown Seafood Festival in Hampton.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Mill Point Park to Carousel Park along the river walkway.
Purchase crab, oysters, shrimp and more from the best seafood vendors in the 757. There will be a variety of vendors at the festival, selling items like art, jewelry, handmade soap and more.
The whole family can enjoy nautical-themed games with prizes at the children’s corner and groove to live music. You can even test out your fishing skills at the catch-and-release activity station hosted by Bass Pro Shop.
You can also learn the history behind Hampton becoming a “crabtown” with educational exhibits on site.
