There are three, new storefronts coming to Selden Market in Downtown Norfolk for the autumn season, including two boutiques and a casual eatery.

The latest addition is Pure Lagos, an art gallery and curated boutique featuring treasures from African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Kenya and more. Pure Lagos was already a pop-up at the market, but now they are open for business in their own space.

Pure Lagos Owner Sia Alexander attended Stanford University and Howard University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in human psychology, according to the Downtown Norfolk Council. After working as a therapist, Alexander pursued a career in fashion and developed an all-natural and homemade skin and body care line using indigenous African herbs and plants called SiaNatural.

Next on the menu at Selden will be Slide Thru #FAM, an eatery that serves up Filipino and American flavors in a handheld package. According to the Downtown Norfolk Council, co-owners Chef Eric Jackson and Rina Parrilla Garcia met working in a corporate restaurant and immediately connected on their shared love of food and music.

The pair will feature an array of signature sliders that are busting with flavor. They will have their grand opening weekend on Oct. 12 and Oct. 13.

Last, but not least, will be KOR Vintage: a reseller of vintage and transformed apparel, accessories and home decor inspired from retro styles and designs of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Founded in 2013 by Keo Ramirez, KOR Vintage’s collection features rare finds and stylish, one-of-a-kind, timeless classics.

The store will appeal to the eclectic buyer and true vintage collectors looking for statement pieces for their homes and wardrobes. They will also have their grand opening weekend on Oct. 12 and Oct. 13.
