Congratulations to Sailors aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower

We have a special Military Minute bonus to share with you this week. We want to give a special shout out to crew members at sea on USS Dwight D. Eisenhower.

In early February, off the coast of Florida, the Norfolk-based aircraft carrier received a distress call from a sailing vessel with a broken mast and smoke in the engine room.

The crew quickly took action and rescued five people from the sailboat and got them safely on the Ike before transferring them to Coast Guard Air Station Miami.
